Riverview Forest, Located just east of the larger Mundy Park, this park is home to some of the few remaining old growth trees in the lower mainland.
Pinecone & Burke Provincial Park. With plenty of scenic views worth every snapshot and crammed full with cedar and spruce trees this 132 hectare provincial park is a hiker’s paradise.
Minnekhada Art in the park, With its 5th annual event coming up on August 17th the Minnekhada regional park is excited to invite you and your family as well as those budding artists to its Art in the Park event. Take a stroll through the mother nature or enjoy the many creations of human nature while taking part in some of the festivities that are planned for families and adults of all ages.
Look forward to when the salmon come home. One of the perks of living close to a fish hatchery or a salmon bearing river, is being able to witness these large speckled fish swim home. This family event at Hoy Lake hatchery includes a salmon demonstration, a fishing prize pond, children performer, face painting and this year it will also include the unveiling of a mural by artist Patricia Gaspar.
